1. What is the ethical and moral issue of the computer issue/topic you selected?
a. Describe/define your computer issue?
b. What are the effects of your issue/topic on individuals, businesses, government, etc.
Description of Smartphones
A smartphone helps in many ways such as direction and applications. When I say direction I mean something like Google maps for a smartphone and applications such as g-mail or document applications. Many people use smartphones for work, e-mail and/or something like that; others use it for fun, games and such. Various people use smartphones like the iPhone for an application that you can download called Find My iPhone. This app can be used to track your iPhone, as said in the title, so you can keep track of the phone or the person that has the phone. However, many problems are associated with the app; when you have the phone off, the application won’t work meaning if someone were to take the phone and turn it off, no one would be able to track it with that app.
The Effects of Smartphones
On average, an individual checks their smartphones 34 times a day, and not because they need to. Many people do it out of habit or compulsion. An individual that has an addiction to their mobile device affects their daily routine. You stop needing to research things in books because there’s a convenient internet source right in front of you, you can just ask Google or Siri, no problem right?
